Both support users up to 300 lbs. They each feature the 20” Precision Path Stride and 10-degree incline. However, Schwinn 430’s incline has manual ramp range with six positions available. Schwinn 470 takes the chance to boast for having its incline equipped with motorized ramp range, as well as easy adjustment via the quick keys.
Schwinn 430 comes with 20 levels of resistance. Schwinn 470 offers some more with 25 resistance levels, allowing you to train a little bit harder. Schwinn 430 provides 10 quick keys for easily controlling the resistance. Schwinn 470 also comes with 10 quick keys, but 5 are for controlling the incline and the other 5 are for the resistance. Both models come with two display screens each, a 3” x 5” main display and a 1” x 5” secondary display. However, Schwinn 430’s screens are not backlit. On the other hand, Schwinn 470 can support up to four users. The model has 29 built-in programs, including 12 preset, 8 heart rate, quick start, fitness test, recovery test, and custom programs. Both models perform heart rate monitoring through the grips.

For personal use, Schwinn 430 is sufficient. However, for family use and additional convenience, Schwinn 470 is worth the money. It can support more users and has more features. The backlit screens are also nice.
